When you’re the king of the hill, life is a party. You may lose your mind, but you wont ever lose your edge. That’s what we have — what we’ve been given — on “Tasty Meat.” Your narrator is a decadent and warped bebop cowboy. His music is like the last death gasps of ZZ Top after they’ve been abducted by a cult and strangled with their own beards. Whips crack. Disembodied voices cackle. The storyteller slurs. Everything is cause for celebration — even lobotomies, dogfights and a taste for blood. Do you hear dancing in the distance? The come-hither drone of music far away? Come and join us on the hill. It belongs to Mom and the Mailman now.
